The Robots of Woot

Posted 5 Oct 2007 at 14:25 UTC by Rog-a-matic Share This

The daily deal website sensation known as Woot, offers yet another opportunity for robot ownership today: an iRobot Roomba 4296 Remote Scheduler Robotic Vacuum for $140. Actually, it's $139.99, but .99 is an archaic remnant of the marketing past which I fully reject as an insult to my ability to round. Monday it was a Haward Viper Pool Cleaner (Sure, it's a robot of sorts), last week an iRobot Roomba Discovery SE, and back in August a Scooba. The "One Day, One Deal" formula seems to be working nicely for the Carrollton, Texas internet retailer who recently struck up a partnership with Yahoo to expand the idea, hopefully with more robotic offerings. Oh, I forgot to mention - HURRY!

Sure, it can vacuum eternally, but it's just not the same..., posted 6 Oct 2007 at 02:04 UTC by MDude » (Journeyer)

When I read the title of this, I was hoping for a robot designed after Elf Only Inn's Woot character. Although if they sell iRobot Create or some other programmable, I might be interested.
