Micromechanical Flying Insects

The Berkley Micromechanical Flying Insect (MFI) Project is in the news again. CNN has a new article on the progress of the project to date. Steady progress is being made on the tiny, autonomous flying robots. They have a lot of potential applications from miltary reconnaissance to Mars exploration.
