| Insectronic is an autonomous six legged walking robot. It uses three standard servos and avoids obstacles using a pair of infrared emitter and detectors. The microcontroller is a Microchip pic16C71 programmed using the Microengineering Labs PicBasic Pro compiler and a parallax programmer. The printed circuit boards were designed using the SuperPCB+ program. It was constructed out of aluminum. This robot has an identical twin that is remote controlled and has a ccd camera with a video transmitter.
