| I AM A 14 YEAR OLD STUDENT AT WITBANK TECH IN SOUTH AFRICA
THIS IS MY FIST ATTEMPT AT BUILDING AN AUTONOMOUS ROBOT AND
I THINK IT HAS TURNED OUT PRETTY WELL.
SENSORS LOCOMOTION I USED 2 HACKED SERVOS FOR THEIR EFFICIENCEY BRAIN I USED A PIC 16F84 RUNNING AT 4 MHZ AND I PROGRAMMED IT WITH MPLAB AND DOWNLOADED IT WITH PIC16PRO PROGRAMMER I FARVOURED IT OVER THE BASIC STAMP BECAUSE OF IT`S CLOCKING SPEED AND PRICE BUT DON`T GET ME WRONG THE BASIC STAMP IS HYPER POWERFUL PROBABLY MORE THAN THE PIC THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS WITH THE IR DETECTION UNIT IT WAS OVER OR UNDER SENSITIVE BUT THROUGH TRIAL AND ERROR I GOT IT RIGHT I AM CURRENTLY BUILDING ANOTHER ROBOT WITH ALOT MORE SENSORS AND GADGETS USING THE PIC 16F876 Email: mwjparso@iafrica.com |
