Robert Kinoshita, the designer of Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet and Robot B9 from Lost in Space, two of the most well-known screen robots of all time, will be speaking at the Hollywood Heritage Museum in Hollywood, California on Wednesday, May 19 at 7:30 PM. Along with Kinoshita, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday, will be the original Robby the Robot (accompanied by director Bill Malone, his current owner) and a replica of the original B9. This could be a once-in-lifetime chance to see a man and two robots who inspired a lot of people to enter the field of robotics.
