There's yet another iteration of the Fujitsu HOAP series of robots. We've reported on Hoap-1 and Hoap-2, now there's Hoap- 3! The new hope is about 3 foot tall, user programmable and has many features such as [get ready for a long list] 2 cameras, 1 microphone, LEDS for expression display, 3 axis gyro, 3 axis accelerometer, foot bottom sensor, grasping power sensor, distance sensor, speech recognition, speech synthesis, radio control for all functions, 28 joints, and even has a simulator for operation verification, and of course has RT-Linux OS running on a 1.1Ghz Pentium(c) M processor! This thing would be a homebrewer's delight! Fujitsu hasn't announced yet when HOAP-3 will go on sale or for how much.
