Robot War

An article on the US Joint Forces Command page says that robotics will play a major role in future warfighting. By 2005, we could see all our battles faught by robots instead of humans. The article notes that there are lots of hurdles to overcome and AI needs to grow up, but lethal robot warriors are definately in the US military's plans.
