To sign out of PlayStation Network on your PS5 or PS4 console, go directly to Settings. On a PS5, navigate to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Sign Out; on a PS4, go to Settings > Account Management > Sign Out.

For older consoles, the process is similar. On a PS3, navigate to the PlayStation Network section in the XMB menu and select Sign Out. On a PS Vita or PS TV, select PlayStation Network > Sign Out from the home screen or settings.
How to sign out of PSN on all devices remotely
If you suspect unauthorized access or want to ensure your account is signed out everywhere at once, use the Account Management website. This is the critical security method for signing out of PlayStation Network on every device simultaneously.
- On a computer or mobile browser, sign in to your Account Management page on the PlayStation website.
- Select Security from the left sidebar.
- Choose Sign Out on All Devices.
An alternative that achieves the same result is changing your PlayStation Network password. Doing so will automatically sign you out of all devices currently logged in. This is particularly useful if you need to secure your account quickly after losing access to a console or when you want to log in to PlayStation Network again with fresh credentials.

- Open the PlayStation app on your mobile device.
- Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.

Signing out vs. deactivating your console
Signing out simply ends your current session on a device. Deactivating a console removes its activation for content like games and videos from your account. You might want to deactivate your PlayStation account from a console before selling or transferring it. Unlike signing out, you cannot remotely deactivate individual consoles; you must use the Deactivate All Devices option via Account Management online, and this option can only be used once every six months. Deactivating does not delete your data or damage your console.
