Robots Rescuers Will Save Lives!

Reuters says that Japanese researchers are working on robotic rescuers to save lives. Researchers at the Tokyo Institute of Technology believe that in five years’ time they will come up with disaster relief robots to detect land mines, search for earthquake survivors and save lives. These robots can do innovative things like detect an injured person’s breath from a distance. These state funded robots are meant for peaceful purposes and not for war but the researchers are concerned that the technology may be used for unintended purposes. Some of the various robots pictured include a spider, a snake, another snake, and a Titan IX.
