He has lived and been married for 500 years, after all. Wouldn’t life be boring after such a long time? He also has been having feelings for the girlfriend of a painter whom he commissioned to do a portrait of his wife. The vampire is convinced that the painter’s said girlfriend is the true love of his life and he’s been living a lie for so long. Any vampire would need some therapy for that! An excellent choice among Prime Video’s horror comedies.
The Love Witch (2016)
Like most witches, Elaine is desperate to find a mate and she’s been casting love spells to find her man. She starts casting her spells and seducing men into her fabulous Victorian apartment. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately as some would consider, her spells are too strong and now she has a bunch of hopeless-romantic males who wouldn’t leave her alone. When she finally meets “the one,” her despair will lead her to the brink of losing her mind and thus starts her meddling with the darker side.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
Would you expect anything less from one of the most acclaimed directors of our time, and in a sci-fi film? Stephen Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind is considerably one of the all-time alien movie favorites, up there with ET and Twilight Zone! Some sci-fi fans would even call it the best movie ever made about human and alien encounters.
It’s about the story of a simple lineman, Rory, who discovers an unidentified flying object (UFO) and starts experiencing recurring visions that soon becomes an obsession. It garnered eight Oscar nominations and won in the Best Cinematography category.
The Village (2004)
Directed by M Night Shyamalan, The Village is a thrilling movie to experience but in a terrifying way. Though bordering more on Suspense, The Village is one scary film to watch. Members of a small town have been isolated and have been told not to go out because there are monsters beyond their territory that would attack them. As they confront this terror, a budding love story begins which complicates things even more as one of them tries to cross their borders to seek help.
The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Who would forget Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins as Clarice and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, respectively, in this chilling psychological and gruesome thriller? Novice FBI agent, Clarice, is doing her best to make a difference in terms of fighting crime. Much to her surprise, she is sent to question Dr. Hannibal Lecter—a psychiatrist and cannibal who is a highly intelligent master manipulator. Their only goal is to gain insight from him in order to understand and capture another cannibal called Buffalo Bill. Hannibal figures out that Clarice’s desire to be an agent was because of her terrifying past. He plays with her mind, making her doubt herself in the process.
