Before you download the Starz app on your Samsung smart TV: check compatibility
Not all Samsung Smart TVs support the Starz app. Starz officially supports select Samsung Smart TVs with Smart Hub, specifically models from 2018 and newer. To verify compatibility, check your TV's user manual or the model information in your TV's settings. You will also need a Samsung account to download any app from the Smart Hub, and a valid Starz subscription is required to use the app after installation.
Navigate to the app store on your Samsung TV
To begin, press the Home button on your remote control. This brings up the main menu. From there, navigate to the Apps section. Before you can search or download anything, ensure you are signed into your Samsung account, as this is required to download apps onto your Smart TV. If you are not signed in, you will be prompted to do so.
Search for and install the Starz app
- In the Apps section, select the Search icon, which is typically located in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Using the on-screen keyboard, enter "STARZ" and select the search result.
- From the search results, select the official STARZ app.

Be aware that resetting Smart Hub will reset all Smart Hub settings, downloaded apps, and accounts stored on your TV. After the reset, you will need to sign back into your Samsung account and reinstall the Starz app, much like you would when you add dish app to Samsung smart TV from scratch. If the app is still missing, double-check your TV's compatibility, as pre-installed apps cannot be deleted, but the delete function may be disabled for them.
