According to HBO Max's official help center, titles you do not interact with will automatically remove from continue watching after 90 days.
Remove a title on the HBO Max website
- Open a web browser and go to the HBO Max website. Log in to your account.
- On the homepage, scroll down to the "Continue Watching" row.
- Hover your mouse over the show or movie you want to remove. Click the three-dot icon that appears on the thumbnail.
- From the menu, select "Remove from Continue Watching."
- Confirm the removal if prompted. The title will disappear from the row immediately.
Remove a title on the HBO Max mobile app
- Open the HBO Max app on your iPhone or Android device and log in.
- Tap the profile icon at the bottom right of the screen.
- Scroll down to the "Continue Watching" section.
- Tap the three-dot icon on the show or movie you want to remove.
- Select "Remove from Continue Watching" from the menu that appears.
- Confirm the action if asked. The title is now removed from the list.
Remove a title on a streaming device (Roku, Fire Stick, etc.)
- Launch the HBO Max app on your streaming device and log in.
- From the home screen, scroll down to the "Continue Watching" row.
- Highlight the show or movie you want to remove using your remote.
- Press the "More Options" button on your remote (usually three dots, a gear icon, or a hamburger menu).
- Select "Remove from Continue Watching" from the on-screen menu.
- Confirm the removal if prompted. The title will be removed from the row.
Removing unwanted titles from your Continue Watching list helps you keep the row focused on what you actually want to watch next. It is also useful when you share an account or want to hide accidental clicks, since removing a title also clears it from your watch history.
