To check your Afterpay balance, the fastest way is to log into your Afterpay account through the mobile app or the website dashboard. Your dashboard immediately shows your outstanding payments, upcoming payment dates, and the status of each order.
How to check your Afterpay balance
Your Afterpay balance is the total amount you still owe on your active orders. The quickest and most reliable methods to see this balance are the Afterpay mobile app and the online account dashboard. Both display your payment schedule, remaining installments, and order history in real time.
Method 1: Using the Afterpay mobile app
The Afterpay mobile app gives you a direct view of your balance and upcoming payments from your phone. This is the most convenient way to stay updated on the go.
- Download the Afterpay app from your device’s official app store.
- Open the app and log in using your Afterpay account email and password.
- Once logged in, your dashboard will appear. Here you can see your current balance, a list of upcoming payments, and details for each order.
From the dashboard, you can tap on any order to view its full payment schedule, including the amount due and the next payment date. This method is ideal for quickly checking your obligations before shopping at stores that accept Afterpay.
Method 2: Logging into your Afterpay account online
If you prefer using a computer, logging into the Afterpay website provides the same balance information as the app.
- Go to the Afterpay website and click the “Log In” button.
- Enter the email address and password associated with your Afterpay account.
- After logging in, your account dashboard will load. It displays your outstanding balance, payment schedule, and order history.
The online dashboard is a reliable way to review your payment obligations before making a new purchase, helping you confirm you have enough available credit.
How to view your monthly Afterpay statements
Afterpay provides official monthly statements that summarize your account activity. You can view and download these statements directly in the app. You will receive an email notification when your monthly statement is ready. To access it, tap on the “My Afterpay” tab, scroll down to “Settings,” select “Statements,” and then choose the statement you wish to view. You will receive a monthly statement if your account was active during the statement period, meaning you placed an order, carried an outstanding balance, made a payment, or incurred a fee. You will not receive a statement if there were no debits or credits during the statement period and your outstanding balance was $0. For “Pay Monthly” orders, your payment schedule serves as your statement, detailing each installment, due date, amount, and payment status. This schedule can be found in the app under “My Afterpay” by selecting the specific order, or on the Afterpay web portal. Statements are available from July 30, 2024, and each statement covers its own approximately 30-day activity period, you cannot generate a statement for a specific custom period.
Method 3: Contacting Afterpay customer service
If you cannot access the app or website, contacting Afterpay customer service is a reliable fallback option for balance inquiries.
- Email: Send a message to Afterpay’s customer service email. Include your account details (such as your registered email address) and your specific question about your balance.
- Phone: Call Afterpay’s customer service number. Have your account information ready so the representative can quickly look up your balance and payment schedule.
- Online chat: Use the live chat feature on the Afterpay website. A support agent can provide your current balance and answer any questions about upcoming payments.
Customer service can also clarify any confusion about your payment schedule or help with account access issues, making it a useful backup when digital methods are unavailable.
