How to check browser history on Android with Chrome

Chrome’s history only stores pages from the last 90 days, so anything older than that is automatically removed. It also excludes pages you visited in Incognito mode, Chrome internal pages like chrome://settings, and any entries you’ve already deleted. If you’re signed in to Chrome and have history syncing enabled, this list will also include pages visited on your other devices, not just your phone.
Delete individual items or clear all Chrome history
To remove a single entry from your Chrome history, find the item on the History page and tap the “X” icon on its right. That deletes just that one page, leaving the rest of your history intact.
To clear a larger portion, tap the three-dot menu again and select “Delete browsing data.” You’ll be prompted to choose a time range, options include the last 15 minutes, the last 24 hours, or all time. On your Android phone, synced history appears in the same History page you access through the three-dot menu. Pages you visited on your desktop, tablet, or another phone will show up alongside your mobile browsing, making it easy to pick up where you left off. This is especially useful if you often switch between devices and want a unified record of your online activity.
Check browser history in Firefox on Android
Firefox for Android uses a slightly different layout. Open the browser and tap the menu icon, either three horizontal lines or three vertical dots, depending on your version, then select “History.” You’ll see your browsing history listed by date, and you can scroll through it to find a specific page.
To search within your history, tap the magnifying glass icon on the History page and type a keyword or URL. This narrows the list to matching entries, saving you time if you’re looking for a particular site. Note that pages visited in Firefox’s Private Browsing mode are not saved to history, so they won’t appear here or in any search results.
To clear your Firefox history, go to the More menu, then “Settings,” and select “Delete Browsing Data.” Check “Browsing History” and confirm the deletion to wipe the record from your device.
Check and clear history in Samsung Internet
Samsung Internet, the default browser on Samsung Galaxy devices, has its own history management. Open the browser, tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner, and select “History” from the list. This shows your recently visited pages, which you can scroll through or tap to revisit.
To clear your history, stay on the History page and tap the three-dot icon again, then select “Clear history.” Alternatively, you can go to Menu > Settings > Personal browsing data > Delete browsing data, check “Browsing history,” and tap “Delete data.” Both paths achieve the same result, so choose whichever feels faster. If you ever need to check history on a non-Samsung Android phone and happen to use Safari on Android, note that Safari isn’t available for Android, so you’ll rely on Chrome, Firefox, or Samsung Internet instead.
