Notes: Hi My name is Mats Önnerby. I live in a small village, Klippan, in Sweden. I have built two robots. The first one is called MyBot and is similar to BoeBot from Parallax. Originally it had a Basic Stamp IISX as a micro, but now it's upgraded to use an Atmel Mega323. The old version is already on display on robot.net. The second is a two legged robot with five degrees of freedom in each leg. Currently it can walk, but does not have any inputs. The micro is the Basic Stamp SXII from the old robot, but the memory limit of the Stamp has been exceeded. 63 byte of RAM is not much. I'm a member of "Swedish robot builders" at http://communities.msn.se/SvenskaRobotbyggare. One of the people that I know and who has also seen my robots is Lars Wiktorsson at http://www.lawicel.com. He is the designer of the SIMM100 card that can be used as a good starting point for people looking for the next step when reaching some limit of the Basic Stamp. Best Regards Mats Önnerby
Thanks to Rob Turner and Steven Rainwater for making me a Journeyer so quick.
I searched for my name on Internet and found that my robot
(Mybot) was on display here, so I joined the group. I'm not
sure how it found it's way here, but I dont mind, since it
helped me find this group. I have made some changes on that
robot to make it an autonomous Sumo robot.
I have also
built a second robot named Roboccio, that has two legs and
can walk. It's not a beautiful walk, but still, it moves
forward, and that was my second goal for that robot. The
first was to make it able to stand on its own.
Currently I'm trying to build a head for the robot so that
it looks nicer. I aslo found a Gameboy camera that I'm
trying to use as an eye in the head. I also need to add
sensors to measure preasure and acceleration.
I would
like to put it on display here, but I'm not sure on how to
do that.
/Mats
