Notes: I run a robotics enthusiast site: www.mobilerobotics.org and I work for VIA Technologies Inc. as the Program Manager of the Robotics Initiative. Over the next little while VIA will more actively be participating in the Robotics community. My diary entries will reflect more of a corporate perspective (with a human side as well I hope :)and will be of interest to those who want to follow what a player primarily interested in PC architecture developments as they relate to robots in the personal robotics and service robotics areas...

Its been awhile but I'm in the last stages of relaunching mobilerobotics.org.

Most of the site features are set (although registered members can suggest anything else they'd like to see at any time), the layout is about 90% complete, and content is starting to be added.

If you want to check out www.mobilerobotics.org feel free. I'd appreciate any feedback given.

Firstly I'd like to say good luck to Tony Cheetam and the Robots.net crowd for their robotic cartoon strip... I posted over at www.914pcbots.com a sample of an old (failed) comic strip attempt of mine from before.

Secondly I'd like to thank the robotics crowd that has been participating in the site forums at www.914pcbots.com , there are severally lively and interesting conversations going on various robotic subjects and if any of you have questions or opinions you'd like to share please do come by.

Cheers,

Tim

www.914pcbots.com has some interesting pics of the 914 used as a navigator-bot if you're interested.

www.914pcbots.com is starting to fill with some content, a few wacky discussion and great ideas for working with 914 PC-BOTs.

Have to say I'm very pleased with the participation so far considering product is yet to ship. Waiting is SO HARD :)
