I have just begun my exploration of robots. I was a Psych major, and have been a computer tech for 6 years now. I'm interested in AI, but more specifically artificial emotional intelligence. I want to know about robots that can pick up on sarcasm. I want a robot that can do the simple things a cat or dog can do, like sense when you are upset. I am fascinated by the leaps and bounds this field is taking, which leads me to my other area of interest, ethics in robotics. Once we start designing bio engineered circuits, I think we have a lot of ethical questions to attend to. In summation, I'm interested in the software side of robotics, mostly in as much as it can teach us about our own software :)
