Lots of video links in the mailbox lately. Reader euProbe sent links to video of Zeno and a very amused little humanoid robot. He also spotted clips of a tree climbing robot, and the new WowWee Dragonfly. Meanwhile, roschler sent links to some halloween robot levity and a Pleo robot meeting some Aibo enthusiasts. Innovative Response Technologies sent us link to their "low-cost, multi-mission rapid response robot", the X-Bot. At $9,500 is a pretty good deal if your local bomb squad needs a a new robot. The Swirling Brain noticed that Heathrow Airport is introducing some autonmous robot cabs that will drive passengers between terminals. Artist Pete Pochylski wrote to tell us about his one-of-kind, hand made, hand painted robot creations. They're small, retro-looking, robot sculptures. They're inexpensive too, so they'd probably make great gifts for any robot builders you know. Roland Piquepaille sent links to his latest stories on the STriDER three-legged walking robot and some virtual robots who are fooled by virtual illusions. Know any other robot news, gossip, or amazing facts we should report? Send 'em our way please.
