Andrew Smith writes, “The Australian Dance Theatre will be performing its new work featuring robots on stage with the dances at the upcoming Adelaide Arts Festival. More about this can be found on the ABC news website.” We reported on this early this month but with the world premiere coming up shortly, a reminder is probably worthwhile. The new ADT work is called Devolution and will debut on March 3rd at the 2006 Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts in Adelaide, Australia. ADT describes it as “humans in communion with multiple robotic machines of both large and medium scale, large scale robotics, kinetic set, and lighting design, a multitude of robotic prostheses and ambulating robotic constructs as well as extraordinary video art”. If any robots.net readers get a chance to see it firsthand, send a review our way.
