F.A.O.R.(fully autonomous original robot) is a robot I built to prove to my friends that I could build a robot in my spare time that would be capable of several autonomous functions. I am a 16 year old robot inthusiast and hopefully this will not be my last robot. F.A.O.R. is programed to roam around my room with out bumping into oubject, but is not aloud any where else in the house. Specs: Brain: Basic Stamp 1.4 Body: sheet of ABS plastic Servos: 2 hitech 225 Sensors: inrared proximity detectors Power: 4 AA, 6 volt phone battery, 9 volt Cost: ~170 american dollars F.O.A.R. has turned out to be a much better experimental platform than I ever whould have thought.
