Using the stock Toddler robotics platform, I'm designing a small operating system called SMALL-WALK OS 1.0, which includes derivative code to achieve a series of fundamental motions. Typical experimental commands include both major and sub functions, such as Position, Demo, Sound, Walk, Run, Forward, Reverse, Right, Left, Balance, Turn, Tilt, Shuffle, Slide, Tune, Stop, Accelerate, Decelerate, Go, Fast, Slow, Angular, Experiment, Randomize, Repeat, and Test. OS loaders are good up to 500 program lines, with several major functions that consume nearly 100 lines of code each, and sub functions that take only a few lines with some recursive routines.
