I'm building AutomaTron, a model-bot to simulate primary functions of a 25-ton industrial press robot and demonstrate multi-axis programmable motion control. This industrial member of the Zylatron family will be a working model, capable of supporting the full gamut of machine parameters. The name was changed on 7-7-02 from MicroTron to AutomaTron to more closely indicate an industrial robotic machine. The actual MicroTron name will be reserved for even smaller robotics.
