Notes: 48k (named after Sir Clives famous Sinclair Spectrum computer of the 1980s) is a large 4 wheeled autonomous Rover.
Pneumatic fully independant suspension, with 4 wheel steering (ackerman pairs front and rear), and 4 wheel independant drive. Compressor and battery power is all on board.
Steering angle, suspension angle, wheel speed, motor speeds etc. are all encoded. Wheels are driven by DC motors, and the steering by steppers.
Provision is also made for a 6-axis robotic arm at the front of the rover - also driven by steppers.
Weight, when fully built, is estimated at between 75-100kgs.
