i terminated the obstacle avoiding project because i want to do some thing else. i am now working on a robotic arm for a science fair. the special thing about the robot is that it is going to be controlled us ing gloves. it is quite simple when you think about it because it uses push buttons. each motor is going to have a forward and reverse circuit. i will probably put some LEDs just for show. If you have any suggestions please email me:
There was a problem with the gears in the six legs, so I decided to just us wheels. I am now looking for a good gear box.
I'm working on another robot. A six legged non contact obstacle avoiding telepresence robot. The camera is a wireless mini cam about the size of 5 quarters stacked on top of each other. The obsacle avoiding system is from my little brother's toy car. the robot uses 2 dc motors. I'm in the process of makining all of putting the gears in the plastic chassis. The plastic is from the stylish clear clipboards for writing notes. I will keep you up to date with my project.
I fixed the problem in my robot (it only goes forward and backwards) I made a cut in the chasis, so when it goes reverse, it actually turns left.
I just finished my robot and it is great. i wired a sound sensor with a walkie talkie and my robot is controlled verbally with the walkie talkie. the only bad thing is that it only goes for ward and reverse.
