I haven't built any robots yet (unless you count the silicon-free two motor wall follower I put together one night that sort of worked). I'd join a robotics group if there were one in town. Anybody in Corvallis, OR, USA want to join one? Or carpool to PARTS meetings in Portland?

I have worked in artificial intelligence (specifically Bayes nets) and I'm interested in software and algorithms more than hardware. One ambition I have is to build a map-learning bot with just bump sensors and odometers. upper@peak.orc
