Notes:

Been working with robots since 1970's. Built Heath Hero and Hero-JR, worked with Heath on Hero-2000 design; worked with Arctec Systems on Gemini. Worked on NASA's Flight Telerobotic Servicer Project, and was Principal Investigator on FlightLinux Project. Recently updated Hero-JR with embedded pc. Built two pc-based platforms, using motor boards developed at Loyola under NSF grant. These robots are R1D1 and R1D2. Working to get robotics courses going at Loyola University-Maryland and Johns Hopkins. Platform choice is Roomba. Electrical/Computer Engineer. Hardware, software, and FPGA experience. Teach embedded systems and Virtualization. I enjoy projects that get up off the bench and wander off.
