Japan has stepped into the future with the release of
a "robot suit" that can help workers lift heavy loads or
assist people with disabilities climb stairs. The 15-kg
battery-powered suit, code-named HAL-5, detects muscle
movements through electrical signal flows on the skin
surface and then amplifies them. It can also move on its
own accord, enabling it to help elderly or handicapped
people walk, developers said.

In the US tiny robots that can turn into any
shape -
from
the replica of a human to a banana to a mobile phone - are
being developed by scientists.

The new science of claytronics, which will use
nanotechnology to create tiny robots called catoms, would
enable three-dimensional copies of people to be "faxed"
around the world for virtual meetings.

India doesn…gt;TM]t want to be left behind as
well.
Recently
students of Seedling Academy Research and
Development
Centre in Jaipur have created a robot that can be
remote
controlled using a mobile phone…gt;TM]s keypad. Among
other
things, the robot can dance, trace a path, draw alphabets,
cut grass and even race at an amazing speed!

Robot is an assortment of the latest technology
available †`
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FM, etc. It is a simple four-wheel
based, DC (direct current) power controlled robot. The
team used programming languages such as C, C++, VB, JAVA
and assembly language.

A robot can be controlled in one of three ways.
The
first
is Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity, a wireless networking
standard). A chip reads information from another remote
computer and transfers information to the robot device.

The second is Bluetooth. A Bluetooth-enabled
mobile
handset could transfer instructions to the robot with the
help of a dongle attached to one of the ports on it.

Last is FM (frequency modulation, as in FM radio).
A
transmitter uses radio waves and the beeps of a telephone
to give orders to the robot.

A robot can serve varied utilities. The camera
attached to
the laptop on its base could be used to take photographs
of places where humans wouldn…gt;TM]t want to go. It is
equipped
with a paint container that it can use to draw alphabet on
hoardings or cricket grounds. Its developers claim that it
would also be able to detect mines with sensors attached
to its base. The project was funded by the institute and
cost Rs 1 lakh.

Seedling Academy of Design,Technology & Management
successfully organizes the opening of Seedling Research
&
Development Center.Visitors become very excited after
seeing dance of 5 robots in synchronization. One robot
which is called "Mother Robot" handles two other
robots.Another robot has camera mounted on it,is used for
detection purpose.
Main robot is that which is controlled with the help of
Mobile bluetooth & Wi-Fi technology.It can be
controlled
by many languages like C,C++,VB,Java, assembly language.
www.seedlingrnd.com
shows
all the details of ceremony very
soon.It will contain all video & still pictures of
exhibition.
