Notes: I became interested in robotics at an early age, often building robots (of often very limited capabilities)from whatever was at hand. I was fortunate to have a father who was mechanic who could provide all sorts of great robot building material to work with.

I have a background in electronics engineering technology from a polytechnical institute and have been an embeddded firmware programmer for the last 10 years working on touchscreen controllers and battery chargers.

I have experience with HC11, Microchip PIC's (12F, 16F, 18F ), Atmel, and Freescale DSP's.

For board layout I use Protel and EagleCAD, and have also used PADS.

I have some limited experience with Altera CPLD's (which I used for an smaller earlier robot project) and Actel FPGA's.

My current projects include my small start up Mobiru Micro Inc., where I develope small personal robots and personal mechatronic devices.

I also enjoy hacking exisiting robot products such as the robosapien. That will be the purpose behind my bionicsapien project and whose progress I hope to keep track with at my blog for it.

I have a four year old daughter who enjoys mucking about with tools and metal things as well who is currently building a robot dog from old meccano and Maxx Steele sets, though currently it seems to resemble more of an alien blob (Bringer of wonder) from Space:1999.
