Last weekend at Technikmuseum Berlin, a couple cocktailrobots known from ROBOEXOTICA were part of Technology Night.
Among them Robomoji, who has been a work in progress over the last few years, with "workstations" for the individual components of a mojito being added one at a time - for the first time complete with a "cool" ice-dispensing unit.

This project called RepRap might interest some of you:
short for Replicating Rapid-Prototyper, the open source hardware and software machine basically 3D-prints any object you design in a conventional 3D design software!
Not with the same precision as a 35.000,- one, but the DIY- device can be built for less than 500,- and it works precise enough to replicate it's own parts ...
It's possible to use different materials: obivously plastic, but Vik Olliver, who presented the project in Vienna last week, also has a part ready that would enable using metal and with minor adjustments even chocolate would be an option ... *yum*

ROBOEXOTICA 2006 Symposium: Dreams of Regulation
The symposium is part of the annual Cocktailrobotics- festival ROBOEXOTICA, Dec. 5th-9th in Vienna's Museumsquartier.

I finally digitized the VHS-tape Honeybee Robotics sent ROBOEXOTICA a few years back:

"Robotender Ernie" by Honeybee Robotics was, to my knowledge, the first bartending robot on earth.
He not only mixed and served various cocktails, he also chatted his customers up after taking spoken orders and did 1980s dance-moves.
Alas, Honeybee's web-page doesn't feature Ernie any more - after all, this was how I found out about him around 2001.

by now, 18 clips of ROBOEXOTICA 2005 have found their way onto YouTube - I've prepared this Playlist sporting them all.

Linefollowing drink delivery bot Gaston reached the finish line of yesterday's parallel slalom, gracefully carrying a large glass of Irish Coffee ...
instead of a longdrink - as the first event of this year's RobotChallenge started as soon as 10am.
