Notes: I've been in one major robot competition, several robotics shows and have built a few robots. The competition was the ASAE walking machines decathalon as part of the Washington State Univeristy Robotics Club. I desigend & built the controler and helped in the mechanical construction of an 8 legged robot, henry the 8'th. Since I've been workin on my own robot, Max-bot that is 3&1/2 feet talk, has four independant tractor tread trucks and arm that can reach 2&1/2 feet foreward, six processor boards, a laser range finding vision system, internal encoders, four sonars, six infra red distance sensors, four gell cell batteris and a whole bunch of custom machined parts. A smaller second robot I'm currently working on is a small two wheeled robot that is without name right now. Recently I won an award for best engineering in show at the seattle robotics society's Robothon event. One of my more recent projects has been the design and fabrication of a real time laser range finder based on NTSC video using a CPLD to get and process the data before putting it into memory. A fun project, I've just finished chronicaling it in an article written for the Seattle Robotics Society's online magazine, the encoder. Other past projects have included the design and building of a Motorola 68332 processor system for robotics control from the chips up. More recently I've done a coldfire design which is still in the work. Additionaly, there have been motor drivers, TFT display drivers and numerous other electronics projects mostly centered around my robots. Or check out my page here at MAX
