I am also looking into PIC vs. Basic Stamps for a robot to enter in DPRG contests. <p> My current hardware on hand is an old laptop, part of a <a href="http:// www.battlebots.com/meet_the_robots3/meet_robot_specs.asp? id=270" >Battlebot</a>, and a <a href="http://www.acscontrol.com/ Index_ACS.asp?Page=/Pages/Products/USB/USB_Servo_Controller.htm" >SSC </a>. I was going to use the SSC with Wifi to control the Battlebot but ran into a snag when so much of the development was contingent on Windows. I found some drivers in Mac and Linux but haven't had the time to test them. <p> I'd really like to develop something like the <a href="http://ece- www.colorado.edu/academics/ug/f02_4610expo.html" >hovering monkeys </a>.
