Cognitive Scientist, Robopsychologist I've been in the AI field since 1982, with original work in computational linguistics, later moving into more general cognitive science (e.g., dynamic workload models, psychologically plausible agents) and most recently in unified cognitive architecture, metacognition, and autonomy. Currently I'm involved in various AI and robotics pursuits (e.g., DARPA, ONR, ARL, etc.) On the 'hobby' side, as you can see from my linked info, I've a Bioloid-based setup at home, and am working on using Gumstix control with wireless Ethernet to larger systems where the AI resides. My main interest is in having AI systems that interact with the actual world, since I think that's been a major stumbling block for further development in the area.
