My robot is a modified RC car. The FM receiver has been removed and replaced with a Compaq IPAQ. The PDA is slid into its backpack option which contains a Lucent Orinoco Gold 802.11b Wireless Ethernet card, and a SocketComm serial card. The PDA queries its location from the Garmin eTrex GPS, opens a TCP/IP socket, and sends its coordinates back to the base-station laptop. The user can either drive the robot with the keyboard, or enter target coordinates to which the app on the laptop vectors the car towards by sending commands to the Seetron SSC serial servo controller. email me at me@greghartung.com
