Notes: I run the competition-robotics.com website, aimed at promoting hobby robotics within the UK through non- destructive competitive meetings. My background is in software, and thanks to the many user- friendly hardware modules appearing on the market in ever greater numbers, I have rapidly become caught up in the robotics movement. I'm sure this will happen to many more people as they become interested in robotics as an affordable hobby. I am also in the process of starting swindonrobotics.org.uk which I hope will attract local enthusiasts with a view to creating a local robotics group for regional and national competitions.
