Notes: Hi, 1) I have built a few robots, mainly in the mid eighties. None of these robots were particulary useful, but that wasn't really point. The robots have ranged from simple "braitenberg" types to microprocessor and PC (well.. TRS-80) control. Some of these robots will be listed in the next couple of weeks (hopefully). 2) I would say that my interests lean towards hardware, but robotics is great in that you can have a red hot go at a few disciplines. In more complicated systems is hard to get away without software, even in CPLDs theres VHDL. 3) As far as competitions go I did well at Science fairs but robotic competitons were a bit thin in 1985. 4) One thing that impresses me about the site is that people have built and finished robots. A few of mine were stuck in that last '80% done' but never to be finished. DM

Another robot has been posted - Nintendo ROB-MOD, a small toy thats been modified to run off an XT. There are a few robots left in the stable to post, but I will get around to posting them at a later stage.

I have posted some of the older robots, these include the Shark, Walker, RAL 1000, ARM1, Scanner and the Visual recognition robot. The first of the newer robots I have posted today is called the Posbot. This one although is fairly primitive, I hope to get some time to try out some more interesting experiments with.
