Hi, I just got my power back on and im glad. Well im just waiting on my solar cell from ebay for my solar roller and I just ordered a robosapien and I know! I'm behind but I just had enough money to buy one and I as soon as I get it I want to start hacking. Its going to be a great platform for later projects hopefully. Hopefully I can buy the V2 right when it comes out before the aw is gone. I always seem to be behind. lol.

Hi, I did work on my solar roller some but the body is still having some issues like turning right and not going strait. Man I need to fix this! This is a bad week for me but sunday awaits some quietness again hopefully. lol. Why i'm im building a solar roller is because I havent buildt one yet but also I get to build a drive train which I hvent done yet from junk parts like a walkman tape deck but also I get to mess around with a miller solar engine which I havent done till yet either. I finally got the solar cells and 1 farad capictor ordered. Hopefully they will arrive next week. Once recieved I can finsh testing the circuit, get it soldered togethor, and finally after everything checks I can fix the turning right problem. I hope it works out. After this I can start on LineRider2 or some more BEAM robots. I'll post later but bye for now.

Hey, I finally got my PCB and components and the parts for the solar roller. I found out I didnt have the right size electrolytic capacitor and a 3 volt solar cell so as to right now im just testing the miller engine out. But it want work intill I get the nessecary parts. I have built the solar rollers body already though but it has some serious balacing issues. So right now I have tons of set backs as I have had all through my robotics hobby so far. This whole week is vacation bible school and my two little cousins are putting me through hell! so I dought I'll build anything this week. But I still need to get the nessecary parts first anyway before finishing up testing and building the circuit. I hope things look up but doesent seem it.

Hey, right now im just waiting for some parts to come so I can start building a solar roller and later build my next LineRider robot LineRider2 which will use a pcb and components kit from www.solarbotics.com. Which is designed by David Cook. But before that im going to spend some time on building some more BEAM robots.

Hey, I finally got my account at www.robotsrule./phpBB2/ to work. All I had to do is check my mail. lol. The site sent me a link to reactivate my account and now im just happy that its fixed.

Hey roschler, I need info on to make my account at www.robotsrule.com/phpBB2/ active again because it says its inactive and will not let me sign on. All I did was update info in my account.

Hey,right now im creating a new webpage for my robots and hopefully I can this one better than the last.Im creating it with Geocities and the title of the webpage is the same as the other "Steven's Robotics" and Im going to try to put complete instructions on building my robots.A size that im still trying to come up with ideas for the robot that im putting in the Science Olympiad Robo Ramble which needs to be controled remotly but I have no idea how to do that without a basic stamp and modules and complex programing (Which I havent neccesarily got into deeply yet). If anybody has any helpful info please email me at madcyborgscientist@yahoo.com Also I need to be able to control a robotic arm and two motor driven base.

Hey,does anybody know where I can find information on building a radio controled robot or a infrared controled robot? Im building a robot for the Science olympiad thats going to take place next year and im trying to come up with an idea before that time because year I didnt come up with an idea intill it was a few weeks from the competition.I wanting to build one that can control a arm and a base with differential steering.I was hoping to some how build one with a basic stamp and a infrared controler with a infrared reciever. So if you know of any information or kits I could buy please email me at madcyborgscientist@yahoo.com. And by the way I need something thats in the hundred dollar range because thats all my school is giving me to work with.

Hey,im not doing much right now because the lack of money but I did recently build another robot named Tankbot which is a infrared tank hacked to have two modes:(1)which is what you can already do with the toy infrared controled tank is control it with the controler(2)The robot can be autonomous and evade obstacles with discrete components and sence obstacles using a micro switch with extender attached.I built the circuit from parts I already have on hand.I used one of Mark Tildens sumo circuits for the robots obstacle avoidance circuit.Soon I hope to build a few robots I have planned using discrete components and then move to more complicated stuff.Very soon!Hopefully next year I can compete in the Science Olympiad Robot Ramble competition for the second and last time.

Well saturday the Robot Ramble Science Olympiad competiton didnt go so well because when I got there I found out that the goal was not like a soccer goal like I prevously thought it was opnened at the top instead. It was awful because I designed my robot to mainly scoot objects across the floor but since the goal was opened at the top there was no way I could get a single object into it or pop the balloon inside. But my robot does have a arm which I was going to scoot objects with and that didnt work so I tried to lift them with the arm but it was no use becuse it only went halfway the hieght of the goal(which measures 30cm cubed). The robot was built from a kit which my school bought from Edmund Scientifics and its tethered control with differential stearing.A group of two girls did the best they had a platform from a carpetrover like the ones lynxmotion sells and it looked like their controler was from a radio ctronled air plane which they used to control the carpet rovers servos. They did the best because they poped the balloon but they nor anybody else got a single object into the goal.Hopefully my new design will win next year. Its a preety good one two just building its going to be a challenge.
