all 3 axis, x,y,z.
Another words, the system should recognize you even when
your head is twisted.

Here is Aiko's new prototype Hand.

I have tested the new hand at Star Bucks picking up the coffee.
I didn't get the change to video it, but I will video the
next time I am there.

Pro:

1) 5 movable fingers
2) Compact size. Same as human's hand
3) Will have complete sensors for feedback
4) Low Power consumption 5V
5) Can be use for Aiko.
6) 15 movable joints
7) Material Cost $1800

Can be use for Aiko or for human. Life-like mechanical limb
that has the ability to feel physical sensation.
(Control by human muscle) special senors and controller will
attach to the human's muscle. Another words, controlling the
hand with our muscles.

Human Brain >> Nerve Impulse >> Muscle >> Aiko's Hand

This technology can be beneficial for people born with or
who have undergone amputations.

Since, I can't find any volunteer, I guess I will test it on
myself.
Project Aiko.

This is a short 6 minutes video.
A full video demonstration is 45 minutes, but I don't have
the time, so 6 minutes it is.

It is still a long way to make it perfect, but one step at
a time.
Next month I will show how the internal software of Aiko
works.
Including Motion Tracing, Object Tracking and recognition.
And Face Extraction and Recognition

I still need to make the movement more smooth. But one
step at a time.

Also, Aiko will make her first public appearance at the
International Center on Nov 2007.
Aiko will do 45 minutes of Full demonstration.

Thank for reading.

I manage to get back the body in one piece.

I will have demo video of Aiko doing some
basic and simple houseworks within a few weeks.

I just need to config the software to work with
Aiko new
body.
In additional, I will add more sensors to Aiko.

In the meantime I have taken some pictures.

Today, we manage to design a newer gear motor into Aiko's
neck. Giving Aiko a total of 130kg.cm of torque for the head
movement. Thus, making the head moves smoother. We will have
a video demo of the new gear motor sometime next week.
