The Importance of Walking and Being Cute

A new VOA article suggests that robots need two qualities to become useful and be accepted: they need to walk like humans and they need to be cute. Being able to walk allows robots to go anywhere humans can go. Being cute means humans won't be scared of them. ASIMO is used as an example. ASIMO intentionally looks like a child in a space suit so that crowds will find it more likable.
