Robotics Rebirth

RMDumse pointed out a new Product Design and Development magazine article on what they're describing as the rebirth of industrial robotics. They describe a recent surge in the use of robots that are now more intelligent and less expensive than the industrial robots of the 1970s. The advances in part are due to better simulation and control software. The article also describes the spread of robotics beyond the automotive industry to semiconductor manufacturing and food processing.
