There's a LinuxDevices.com story today announcing that inhand electronics has released a Linux device driver under the GPL license for Imperx VCE-B5A01 PCMCIA frame grabber. Having unencumbered source code available for this type of frame grabber should be a benefit to a variety of Linux projects including vision applications in robotics. Hopefully this will accelerate the development and release of free driver code for other frame grabbers.
