A NASA press release describes recent tests at the Johnson Space Center in Houston in which two NASA/DARPA Robonauts worked side-by-side with human astronaut Nancy Currie to assemble space station components. The Robonaut project is trying to develop a teleoperated (non-autonomous) humanoid robot that can take over some of the spacewalking tasks that currently require human astronauts. Photos of test can be found on the NASA ISS site.
