Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln have developed a robot to replace those stationary, orange and white plastic barrels you see in highway construction zones. Their robot is housed in such a barrel but can navigate to and from the construction area by itself, eliminating the time-consuming job of manually placing and removing barrels.
