Deciding on what microprocessor you want to use for your next robot brain? Embedded.com has published an interesting little essay that attempts to dispel 10 common myths about microprocessors. Is RISC better than CISC? Is Intel the most common micro in use? Is MIPS a useful measure of performance? Where's that Java chip? These and other contentious questions are answered.

What's that phrase? "...ours costs less than $0.xxx each..." then when you go and check it's for 1,000,000+ chips in a quantity buy.
