Metamorphic Underwater Vehicles

The Robot Locomotion Group at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore has been making news lately with their Metamorphic Underwater Vehicle (MUV). Named Amoebot, the MUV moves through the water (very slowly) by changing shape much like an ameoba. The MUV is one of several biomimetic underwater robots they have developed. Others include the Roboglider and Robo-Eel.
