Scientists and engineers at the University of California, Davis are testing a robotic weed killer. This robotic weed killer is pulled behind a tractor through crop fields. A video camera is positioned forward on the robot to scan for and locate weeds by differentiating the good plants from the bad. The robot then sprays herbicides on the weeds it finds via little needle sprayers without harming the cash crop. This saves the backs of farm workers and is a cool way to get rid of weeds. I think I need one for my yard!
