Robots That Suck

ScientificAmerican.com's new article, Robots That Suck, is about vacuum cleaner robots such as the Roomba and Trilobite. The article is also about why it's so hard to build successful mass-market consumer robots. The premise of the article is that with computers, humans enter the machine's world but with robots, the machines have to enter our world. The latter is much more difficult.

Have the future cyborgs hire people to do the housecleaning. Yeah that's the ticket. Makes sense to me. Solves all our problems.
