Venus Robot Balloon Proposed

Space.com has posted a story on a Robotic Balloon Probe proposed for the exploration of Venus. The balloon would stay in the relatively safe upper atmosphere dropping surface probes to the planet below or launching planes that would gather data and return. The probe design is based on a hybrid satellite-balloon technology, called StratoSail, developed by Global Aerospace for NASA.
