New Micros announced the released another new H-Bridge product today. The NMIH-0050 H-bridge has DMOS output stages and operates in Forward (cw), Reverse (ccw), Brake high and Brake low modes. It delivers up to 5 A continuous and 6 A peak current and includes a nice, big heatsink. This is the second H-Bridge introduced by New Micros recently. Robots.net covered the previous release in August.

From their web page:

  • Delivers up to 5 A continuous, 6 A peak current
  • Optimized for DC motor management applications
  • Operates at supply voltages up to 40V
  • Very low Rds ON; typ. 200m ohm @ 25 deg C per switch
  • Output full short circuit protected
  • Over temperature protection with hysteresis and diagnostic
  • Short circuit diagnosis with open drain error flag
  • Under voltage lockout
  • CMOS/TTL compatible inputs with hysteresis
  • No cross over current
  • Internal freewheeling diodes
  • Wide temperature range: -40 deg C < Tj < 150 deg C
  • Onboard LEDs for Overload detection, Motor Operation mode indication, and input signals for realtime debugging.
  • Terminal block for Motor power source and output connections.
