Autonomous Visual Navigation

The CMU Robotics Institute has released a new technical report entitled Globally Consistent Mosaicking for Autonomous Visual Navigation. The report by Ranjith Unnikrishnan investigates the problems of building consistent visual maps from a mosaic of images obtained from vision sensors and then using the mosaic for mapping and navigation. The research was done as part of the Automated Material Transport System project at CMU NREC.
