Motorola announced a new single-chip GPS product today that looks ideal for robotics use. The tiny GPS chip is expected to begin shipping in November and cost less than $10 for volume quantities. The chip was developed for use in cell phones and PDAs. No documentation available yet but it should appear on the Motorola GPS site shortly. Some additional information is available in this TechCentral story.
